When and What?

From 23rd to 25th May 2025, BMW Group Classic in cooperation with the Hotel Villa d’Este will present the legendary Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

As is the case every year, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will be appropriately complemented by the Villa d’Este Public Days. On the Saturday, you will experience Wheels & Weißwürscht – Amici & Automobili in the grounds of Villa Erba. The Sunday brings you the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Public Day – Il Festival.

To get into the venue as quickly and easily as possible, please read the information provided below carefully. You should take note of the information on bag checks and prohibited items.

Accessibility

In the following paragraphs, we have summarised the most important information relating to accessibility. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us using our guest service email guest-relation@concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com at any time.

Barrier-free entrance and wheelchair-accessible surroundings
If you are dependent on a wheelchair or similar mobility aids, you will be able to use the regular entrances to both venues. Please note that the majority of the paths at the two event sites are made of gravel and this can sometimes make moving around the venue rather strenuous.

Most of the access routes at the event venues consist of meadows, dry grassland, gravel and other uneven surfaces. These surfaces can be challenging for wheelchair users in some places. We recommend that you consult your accompanying companion(s) as necessary. 

Barrier-free toilets
These are provided on the ground floor at Villa d’Este. In Villa Erba, accessible toilets are located in the basement, which can be reached using a lift.

Registration of medicines
In principle, bringing medication and assistive aids into the event grounds is permitted. To facilitate entry and security checks, we ask you to bring the appropriate prescription from your doctor to confirm the necessity of carrying any medication.

If you are diabetic, you can take your diabetic pen with you into the venue. Please inform security staff that you need your pen since not everyone is familiar with this form of medicine. Medications such as asthma sprays, headache tablets and allergy medications do not need to be registered.

If you have to take with you prescription medications classified under controlled substances regulations (e.g. cannabis or addictive substitutes), please bring a prescription from your doctor.

How can I purchase tickets?
Villa d’Este
Tickets for the event Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Saturday 24th May 2025 can be purchased on the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este website.

Villa Erba
Tickets for the events Wheels & Weißwürscht – Amici & Automobili  on Saturday 24th May 2025 and the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Public Day – Il Festival on Sunday 25th May 2025 can be purchased from the ticket provider TicketOne. Tickets will be available for on-site purchase on the day of the event while supplies last.

Do I need to purchase tickets for my children?
Villa Erba
Kids’ ticket prices are valid for children between 5-15 years; children between 0-4 years will receive a free ticket at the box office.

Can my ticket be refunded or transferred to another person?
Villa d’Este
The cancellation policy is provided in the Terms and Conditions and you should be aware of this policy. You can transfer your personalised ticket (Friend of the Concorso Packages, Entry Tickets Villa d’Este) to another person. Please inform the Organisation Team about the name change in order to avoid any inconvenience at the entrance. The name of each ticket holder must be provided when these tickets are purchased.

Villa Erba
The tickets for the events Wheels & Weißwürscht – Amici & Automobili and the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Public Day – Il Festival are not personalised. Re-entry is possible at any time.

How to reach us

How do I get to Cernobbio?
The most convenient airport for arrival by plane is Milan Malpensa Airport just a 45-minute drive away from Cernobbio.

If you want to travel by train, your destination will be either Como S. Giovanni station or Como Lago station. Direct trains connect Como with Milan and Switzerland.

If you have purchased an Entrant or a Friend of the Concorso Package, you have the option of booking a BMW shuttle service for a pick-up and departure transfer to/from Cernobbio.

If you are coming by car, you should take the exit for Lago di Como from the A9 Como – Chiasso motorway. For more information, go to Directions & Parking.

Where can I park my car?
Parking in the grounds of Villa d’Este and Villa Erba is not possible. Parking is possible at various car parks. For more information, go to Directions & Parking.

May I bring my pet(s) to the event?

Pets are not allowed at any of the venues. We politely ask you to leave your pets at home. Assistance dogs specifically trained to help a person with disabilities are welcomed.

If you are staying at Villa d’Este, small dogs are only allowed in your room. We kindly ask you to leave your dog in the room during the exhibition and parade of Historic Cars.

By entering the event venue, visitors irrevocably consent for their image and voice to be used freely in photographs, live broadcasts, podcasts and/or recordings of images and/or sound made by the organiser or its representatives and agents in connection with the event. This includes their subsequent use in all current and future forms of media (such as audio and visual recordings, as well as digital distribution, e.g. the Internet and online platforms).

Are food and drinks available in the event grounds?
Yes, a wide range of food and beverages is available at Villa d’Este and Villa Erba.

What is the dress code?
We kindly ask guests to observe a dress code of smart casual on Saturday and Sunday during the day.

Can I cast a vote to choose the winners?
Villa d’Este
We invite you to vote for the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este for Historic Cars on Saturday from 9:00 up until the start of the parade at 14:00. You can also vote for the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes from 9:30 on Saturday up until 16:00 on Sunday. You will receive your individual authentication pin and further information about the voting in your welcome bag.

Villa Erba
We invite you to vote for the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes up until 16:00 on Sunday. You will receive your individual authentication pin and further information about the voting at the entrance to the venue.

Children up to the age of 16 can vote for the Trofeo BMW Group Ragazzi Kids Award in the Kids Area up until 14:00 on Sunday. Event staff will be on hand to help children vote.

Is there a magazine featuring the Historic Cars and Concept Cars participating in the event?
Villa d’Este
You can purchase the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 Magazine for vehicle fans of Historic Cars and Concept Cars & Prototypes at the gift shop of Villa d’Este.

Villa Erba
You can purchase the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 Magazine for vehicle fans of Historic Cars and Concept Cars & Prototypes at the entrance in the shopping area.

Photography / sound and video recordings
Feel free to capture your experiences with your camera – just make sure the photos are exclusively for personal use only.

Please note that the use of drones is strictly prohibited.

Luggage / Scooter / Bicycle storage at Villa Erba
There are no facilities for storing luggage, clothing, scooters or bicycles in the grounds of Villa Erba.

Lost & Found at Villa Erba
Have you lost something? Or have you found something that someone else may already be sorely missing? So as to ensure that lost property gets back to its proper owners, please bring any items you have found to the box office. You can also make enquiries there about items you have lost.

Environment
Let’s all keep the environment clean by always using the waste bins provided. Thank you for playing your part!

Are there any restrictions that I should be aware of?

Prohibited items
Please note that the following items are strictly prohibited during the event:

• Weapons of all kinds, including imitation weapons
• Knives of all kinds and sharp and/or pointed objects
• Fireworks and pyrotechnics of any kind
• (Telescopic) batons
• Tools of all kinds
• Drugs and illegal substances of any kind
• Irritant gases
• Texts, images or other materials containing discriminatory, abusive, obscene, pornographic and/or racist content or which indicate a violation of the personal rights of third parties.

Other items not permitted
The following non-criminal, prohibited dangerous objects are also not allowed at the event venue and must be disposed of by the owner at the checkpoint if necessary.

• Bulky items of all kinds, e.g. ladders, chairs, hammocks, tents, flagpoles, umbrellas, camping equipment, banners
• Laser pointer
• Glass bottles of all sizes
• Compressed air horns or fanfares
• Megaphones and speakers of any kind
• Drones
• Bicycles, e-scooters, balls of all kinds

Bag checks on entry to Villa Erba
Backpacks, bags and any containers may only be taken into the event venue up to a maximum size of DIN A4. This means that bags, backpacks, cloth bags, etc. with the longest side bigger than A4 format (21.0 x 29.7 cm) cannot be brought into the event venue and should be left in your car or at home.

All bags will be checked at the entrance to Villa Erba.

[Note: If you wish to bring larger bags, an acceptable reason must be provided (e.g. baby-care items – prams etc., or a backpack that is important for people with medical conditions, etc.)].

Medical care
Paramedics will be on duty at the event venue to look after you in the event of an emergency. Please look out for the first-aid stations and the appropriate signposting system and signs. The exact first-aid location is marked on the site plan. If you urgently need medical assistance, please contact the nearest steward or security staff member!

Weather
Please bear in mind that the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is first and foremost an outdoor event. Make sure you check the weather forecast in the morning and dress to take account of the prevailing weather conditions indicated in the forecast.

If the skies are bright blue and the sun is shining, it’s easy to forget a few essential things. Ensure you always drink enough water to avoid dehydration. Apply plenty of sun cream with a high sun-protection factor. If the sun is too strong, wear a sun hat or other head covering, along with lightweight clothing that covers your skin.

The safety of our guests is our top priority and we continuously check the weather forecast for any changes. In the event of a storm or thunderstorm, we will keep you updated at all times and ask you to follow the instructions given by the organiser and security staff!

Further safety instructions
Vehicles at the event are presented in a dynamic driving experience, which partly takes place in close proximity to the spectators. In spite of all the safety precautions, there is a risk of accidents that could result in injuries or damage to property. Parents, carers and guardians looking after children are responsible for supervising children in their care and are urgently requested to take their duty of care extremely seriously. Participation in the event and presence in the event area are at the individual’s own risk. Spectators are required to strictly observe any safety instructions issued by the event organiser and the officials responsible for maintaining order.

Both event venues are located directly on the beautiful shores of Lake Como. Please supervise your children at all times to prevent accidents involving the lake.

Domestic authority
During the entire event, the organisers and their authorised third parties have domiciliary rights. The instructions of the organiser’s security staff must be followed at all times. Failure to do so may result in immediate exclusion from the event.

Liability disclaimer
The organiser shall only be liable for damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty on the part of the organiser, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. The organiser shall only be liable for damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health in the event of culpable breach of a material contractual obligation or in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Any liability beyond these circumstances is hereby excluded.

When purchasing tickets or participating in the event, visitors and participants recognise the risks associated with the event and declare that they accept these risks.
