This Toy is Electric: The first all-electric MINI Cooper SE Cabrio.

The world’s first convertible with all-electric drive comes from MINI. For the first time, the brand combines classic go-kart performance and maximum driving fun under open skies with local emission-free electromobility in the MINI Cooper SE Cabrio (combined electric consumption: 17.2 kWh/100 km in compliance with WLTP; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km).

The world’s only electrically powered premium convertible in the small car segment shortens the transfer to the all-electric model family of the next generation.

The MINI Cooper SE Cabrio limited to a run of 999 is supplied in the colour shades Enigmatic Black and White Silver. Door handles, side scuttles and the frames of the front headlights and taillights are supplied in Resolute Bronze. The MINI logos and model lettering feature sumptuous Piano Black.

The E-Logo familiar from the MINI Cooper SE is emblazoned on the front apron and the rear, highlighting the local emission-free driving joy in the design. Other equipment cues specific to the edition also embellish the entry sills and side scuttles, highlighting the exclusive character of the limited open-air MINI by means of the badge 1 of 999.

MINI takes on a pioneering role with the lightweight alloy wheels specific to the edition.

The 17-inch lightweight alloy cast wheels liveried in the Electric Power Spoke 2-tone design are manufactured in 100 % secondary aluminium. As a result of the combination of green electricity in the production and use of the secondary raw material, CO2 emissions are reduced significantly by comparison with conventional manufacturing processes.

Alongside numerous other equipment cues, the high-quality accents are complemented in the cockpit by the eDrive services familiar from the MINI Cooper SE. These provide the driver with information about the latest energy consumption, the range, and tips for an economic and efficient driving style.

The electric motor putting out 135 kW/184 PS originates from the competence centres for electromobility of the BMW Group.

Its low space requirement facilitates particularly harmonious axle-weight distribution and favours the agile and easily controllable handling. The electric drive accelerates the MINI Cooper SE Cabrio smoothly in the sprint from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds.

The range was determined at 201 kilometres in the WLTP test cycle and this facilitates wind-in-your-hair outings significantly beyond the boundaries of the city limits. The fabric roof designed in the MINI Yours style adorned with the typical Union Jack pattern is operated by an all-electric and particularly silent mechanism. It can be opened, closed or converted to a sliding roof at speeds up to 30 km/h.

MINI promises typical BMW roof-down driving enjoyment for the steadily burgeoning fan community with the MINI Cooper SE Cabrio.

At the same time, this sportster provides electric mobility for another segment in the global automotive market – sustainably, transparently and traceably.
