With spring on its way, our anticipation for the upcoming Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is increasing every day. From 19th to 21st May 2023, we await you on the shores of Lake Como with a uniquely curated selection of automobile treasures from all over the world and from all eras.

The outstanding collection of classic automobiles heralds a great deal of excitement, accompanied by a wealth of other highlights around the contest for these supremely beautiful and exquisitely elegant models. Once again in 2023, RM Sotheby’s – the world’s leading auction house in this segment – invites you to a sale of carefully chosen automobile gems in the grounds of Villa Erba. Traditionally, this auction only takes place every second year.

RM Sotheby’s is showcasing the BMW marque at the upcoming auction under the auspices of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Five extremely rare sports models – all coming from a private collection – will be seeking new owners under the name The M Power Collection. The field opens with a bright red BMW M3 Sport Evolution (E30), one of just 600 examples to be built in this series. It is also factory fitted with rare Electronic Damper Control.

A BMW M3 CSL from the E46 Series originated in the year 2003. This is a specially configured M3 that weighs in at an impressive 110 kilograms lighter than the series model of the M3. The BMW M3 GTS (2010) liveried in orange will roll onto the stage in front of Villa Erba, another lightweight derivative augmented by an engine enlarged to encompass a displacement of 4.4 litres.

Two more recent M4 sports cars will complement the unique automobile ensemble on the banks of Lake Como. A BMW M4 GTS built in 2016 and a BMW M4 CSL packing 550 hp from 2022 are rated by fans as exceptionally coveted jewels from the recent past of BMW.

RM Sotheby’s will open the auction at 18:30 on Saturday 20th May. The auction house will already welcome you to a preview of all the lots from 10:00 to 18:00 on Friday. The M Power Collection and the other exclusive automobiles will also be available for a detailed inspection during the Public Days on the Saturday and Sunday.
