BMW M GmbH is expanding its model range with a high-performance automobile powered by an electrified drive system. The BMW XM LABEL RED (combined fuel consumption: 1.7 – 1.6 l/ 100 km; combined electric consumption: 34.5 – 33.0 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 39 – 35 g/km in compliance with WLTP; preliminary figures; data in compliance with NEDC: – ) is the most powerful road-legal production car ever made in the history of the company.

The spectacular limited-edition model with only 500 being produced will be exclusively presented during the weekend of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

The M HYBRID drive of the BMW XM LABEL RED combines a newly developed V8 spark-ignition engine with an especially powerful electric motor. The maximum system torque of the high-performance SAV totals 1,000 Nm, its system output of 550 kW (748 hp) is a new best value (jointly generated by the internal combustion engine with up to 430 kW/585 hp and the electric drive with up to 145 kW/197 hp).

The immense, instantaneous development of power from the two powerplants builds emphatically across all engine-speed ranges to the highest reaches of the rev range and ensures a typical M performance experience.

The acoustic soundtrack of the electric motor is provided by BMW IconicSounds Electric. These were developed in a collaboration between the BMW Group and film-score composer Hans Zimmer, and they provide an authentic response to the power delivery of the electric motor.

The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system applies the power of the M HYBRID System effectively to the road.

In 4WD Sport Mode, the emphasis on the rear wheels is particularly pronounced, while the traction-optimised 4WD Sand Mode has been specially designed for driving over dunes and comparable surfaces.

The bespoke Toronto Red metallic accents provide cues for surfaces in the exterior, contrasting spectacularly with the stylish body liveried in Frozen Carbon Black.

The exciting colour scheme is continued in Red and Black within the interior. A generous sense of space, high-quality materials and extravagant design transform the rear of the BMW XM Label Red into an exclusive M Lounge. The sculptural headliner with three-dimensional prism structure, photo mount-style border and illumination from an array of 100 LED units is unique and emphasises the exclusivity of the limited-edition BMW XM LABEL RED.
