Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2024World premieres
With its BMW Concept Skytop design study, the BMW Group is once again bringing an exceptionally elegant, one-of-a-kind vehicle to this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The open two-seater resembles a meticulously crafted vehicle sculpture, with a flowing, sporty elegance that complements its athletic, muscular stance. The interior and exterior of the concept car feature warm monochromatic colours, blending exclusive materials with traditional craftsmanship.
“The BMW Concept Skytop is a truly unique and exotic design, in the tradition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design. “It offers a combination of driving dynamics and elegance at the highest level, comparable to its historic ancestors, like the BMW Z8 or BMW 503.”
Like the legendary roadster, the BMW Concept Skytop also comes with the most powerful V8 engine in the BMW drive train portfolio.
BMW Motorrad presents its latest design masterpiece at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este with the BMW R20 concept and puts the legendary air-oil-cooled Big Boxer engine in a sculptural setting.
The expressive tank presents itself like a sculpture around the Big Boxer engine as the epicenter of great riding pleasure, the rear is reduced to the essentials to emphasize the clear lines and the power of the motorcycle.
Markus Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad, describes the concept as follows:
“The BMW R20 concept is a mechanical masterpiece. At the center is the big boxer. Unmistakably BMW Motorrad.”
