In 1983, Porsche created a sensation at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt with a study. Group B was the name for the design of a super sports car that the Stuttgart-based automobile manufacturer had derived in terms of look and design from its Series Type 911. The study is regarded as the legitimate precursor of the model 959 launched in 1986, which defined a new technological benchmark worldwide at the time with two turbochargers, two intercoolers, electronically controlled all-wheel drive and power of 450 hp.

What’s more, it was the fastest production car that could be legally driven on public roads. Even more impressive is the 959 Sport. Only 29 models were produced, powered by an output increased to 515 hp and reaching a top speed of 339 km/h. This example holds particular fascination beyond its strong character as a result of its unique untouched status. It has only driven 885 kilometres and can serve as a reference model from all points of view. Complete documentation is available, ranging from purchase invoices to delivery documents.
